WineaPAWlooza 2025 was more than just a wine tasting event—it was a soulful convergence of Napa Valley’s finest winemakers and animal advocates, raising a record-breaking $1.1 million to support Jameson Humane’s life-saving rescue programs. And at the heart of this magical weekend? Adversity Cellars’ own Russell Bevan—honored with the prestigious Philanthropic Hero Award.

A Weekend That Defines Napa’s Spirit

Hosted June 20–21, WineaPAWlooza returned for its 12th year, bringing together elite vintners, collectors, and philanthropists for two days of exceptional wines, community, and cause. The weekend began with an ultra-exclusive VIP tasting at a private estate, followed by the Grand Tasting, live auction, and concert at Castellucci Estate in Oakville.

More than 50 of Napa’s top wineries participated—including Adversity Cellars—pouring alongside iconic producers for a cause that resonates deeply: the welfare of companion and farm animals. All proceeds benefit Jameson Humane, Napa Valley’s leading no-kill rescue and sanctuary, known for its progressive approach to animal advocacy.

Russell Bevan: Honored for Heart and Heritage

During Friday’s VIP gathering, Russell Bevan was presented with Jameson Humane’s Philanthropic Hero Award—recognizing his unwavering dedication to both the cause and the community. Russell’s legacy already includes 38 100-point wines and a fierce devotion to crafting bold, soulful expressions from sites that thrive under pressure. But this award? It honored something even deeper: his humanity.

"Wine is my language. But compassion? That’s the story I always want to tell,” said Bevan in his acceptance. “This award is about more than me—it's about every animal saved, every soul touched, and the power of community when we rally around something bigger than ourselves.”

We were honored to pour at the Grand Tasting, showcasing our newest Cabernet Sauvignon releases alongside legends of the valley. Guests sipped, savored, and pledged big—culminating in one of the most successful auctions in WineaPAWlooza history.
